|
Our rates depend largely on the type and scope of work involved and can therefore vary from job to job. As you may know, translation prices in Germany are generally quoted on a rate-per-line basis whereas in Britain or America a rate-per-word, based on the source text is common practice. Prices for software translations, however, are usually calculated on the basis of an hourly rate since this kind of translation work is a lot more time-consuming and requires a great deal more research than documents with a straightforward structure. The same charging principle also applies to testing of software or computer-based training courses or other similarly time-intensive tasks. Normally, we first analyse a potential job, discuss the details with our customer and then quote a fixed price which changes only if the size of the job changes. |
